The Latest: Home renovation in Hobart, Westchester

Hobart has been renovating 1900s homes since 2010, when the property was sold to the City of Hobart.

In 2018, the city paid the property’s owners to demolish the 1900s building, a move that has been controversial.

Now, a new proposal by the city is to build a new 1900s home on the site of the former house, which has also been under renovation.

The city will build a $50 million home on a 5,400 square foot parcel of land on the east side of the Hobart Expressway near the intersection of I-880 and I-80.

The new home will be on the north side of an undeveloped lot.

There’s no word on when the project will start or when construction will begin, but a timeline posted to the city’s website says it will be complete by the end of 2020.

In an interview with The Associated Press in February, Hobart’s mayor Mike Harris said he was happy to see the old house demolished.

He said he’d been talking to Hobart residents about the site for years, and they were “excited to see it come back to life.”
